Please arrive for your lesson in a timely manner. Due to scheduling constraints, lesson times will not be extended if arriving late.
Lessons are booked on a weekly basis throughout the school term, your lesson will be scheduled for the same time each week.
Enrolment: A minimum commitment of ONE Term is required for enrolment.
Mid-term enrolments are possible (depending on availability) and are billed for the remaining weeks in the term.
Casual lessons are not available for children (except in cases where they are visiting Melbourne for a short period).
You will be automatically enrolled at the same lesson day and time for the remaining school term of the current year.
If there are necessary changes to the day or time of the lessons in the new term, you must confirm these changes with the teacher no less than two weeks prior to the start of a new term.
When enrolling for lessons by the term you are reserving and committing to a specific lesson time each week.
If you anticipate the need to change or cancel your lessons more than once per term, we recommend casual lessons instead. (Casual rates: $90-$100 per hour, depending on grade level).
IMPORTANT :
"Grade Skipping" is DISCOURAGED ! Each grade builds upon the previous one, equipping students with solid foundation and techniques to take on more challenging pieces in the future.
RECOMMENDATIONS :
Parents are welcome to observe lessons but should avoid interfering. This approach creates a learning environment where students can progress at their own pace without feeling pressured to impress their parents. Ultimately, we believe it's essential for students to enjoy the learning process without external validation.
A child's age is a factor to consider when starting piano lessons. Very young children might struggle to focus and benefit from lessons unless they show exceptional musical talent.
Having a piano or keyboard at home is essential for regular practice. This will help the student progress smoothly between lessons.
Cancellation of a lesson must be made AT LEAST 24 hours prior to the scheduled lesson time in order to receive a make-up lesson (subject to teacher's availability).
Make-up lessons are limited to once per term and must be used during the term. Make-up lessons may be offered on the last Sunday of the month/term (subject to teacher’s availability) or during any available slot that may come up during the week (which will be offered to students based on “first come, first serve basis”).
Make-up lessons not used within the term will be considered forfeited.
No shows or failure to notify the school/teacher within 24 hours is considered a forfeited lesson. There are NO refunds on unused or cancelled lessons.
In cases of sudden illness, exceptions may be made at the discretion of the teacher, if notice was given by SMS or email before 10AM on the day of lesson. Medical certificate from doctor will be required.

Teacher's Cancellation: If your teacher is unavailable for your scheduled lesson, the lesson will be credited or rescheduled. In some cases, a substitute teacher may be provided if a teacher is unavailable or due to illness.
Prepaid Term Cancellations :
Refunds for cancellations of 3 or more lessons due to a “change of mind” will result in a 10% GST service charge, and an additional processing fee of $50 will be applied. If requested, refunds may be held in credit against your account for future lessons.
Stopping Lessons : Should you decide to stop taking lessons altogether, please give your teacher 2 lessons’ notice in advance.
To secure your enrolment for next term, payment for next term of lessons is due in FULL, in the last week of current term (before the school holidays).
We accept payment by Cash, Electronic Fund Transfer and PayID. Tuition fees are non-refundable.
When payment is not received by the due date, you will receive a reminder via email or SMS. In the event that payment is more than 7 days overdue, a $50 late payment fee applies and your slot may be offered to students on the waitlist.
Illness: If you are feeling unwell and unable to attend your lesson, please contact your teacher before 10AM to reschedule the lesson. Parents are advised not to send children to lessons if they are feeling unwell.
Materials: The teacher will suggest music books and resources which can be purchased online or at your local music store. Please bring a notebook to all lessons for the teacher to record lesson notes and homework.
School & Public Holidays: Piano lessons are available during the holiday periods, and attendance is optional for ongoing students. Please make advance arrangements with the teacher (subject to availability).
IMPORTANT :
Any OVERDUE FEES will need to be PAID BEFORE the Lesson.
